The report published by Goldman Sachs in 2023, the labor and job markets in United States and Europe will face substantial disruptions, if all the hype around generative AI is true. AI technology could completely replace up to a quarter of present jobs, and two-thirds of all jobs — or 300 million people — will be affected in various ways.
The good news is that changes in the labor market proceed slowly, according to Thomas Davenport, a professor of IT and management at Babson College in Massachusetts and author of numerous best-selling books on AI in the workplace.
