Exciting NEW Program: Mechatronics Systems Engineering at UWindsor The University of Windsor is excited to announce the launch of its undergraduate program inĀ Mechatronic Systems Engineering (MSE), starting Fall 2025. This innovative program is now open for applications and is designed for future-forward students eager to lead in the development of intelligent, automated systems. The MSE program offers an immersive learning experience at the convergence of mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering. Students will gain expertise in designing and operating advanced technologies such as industrial robotics, autonomous vehicles, MRI machines, smart household devices, and cybernetic systems. āMechatronic systems are shaping the future, integrating across sectors from healthcare to automotive,ā says Faculty of Engineering Dean Bill Van Heyst. āWeāre responding to the growing demand for engineers who understand these converging technologies and can lead in automation and intelligent systems.ā Highlights of the MSE program include two high-demand specializations: Autonomous Vehicles and Intelligent Manufacturing, each tailored to provide students with cutting-edge skills in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer vision techniques. The program equips students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring students graduate ready to meet the demands of a fast-evolving technological landscape. Graduates will have career pathways across diverse fields, including: Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Automation Engineering Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Controls Engineering Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineering Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Robotics Engineering Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Automotive and Aerospace Engineering Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Manufacturing Engineering With a strong employment outlook for mechanical engineers in Ontario, the MSE program at UWindsor positions graduates to excel in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. |
